Comparative Cost of Mortuary Services in Idaho

Prices reported from the survey are the low and high prices for basic services from general price lists of mortuaries in the cities listed. Basic services include picking up body, procuring required papers, supplying a minimum container for cremation, and providing death notice. Prices do not include embalming, casket, memorial services, or cemetery services.

The Fall 2007 survey was of all funeral establishments licensed in the state of Idaho. [Data from previous surveys are available on request.]

Comparative Costs of Cemetery Services in SW Idaho

Low and high prices based on an annual telephone survey of selected private and public cemeteries in southwest Idaho. Basic services include opening and closing, perpetual care, and liners (for burial). Markers not included. Burial costs not surveyed after 1996.
